Hezbollah’s leader accused Israel of “crossing all red lines” after dozens were killed in a wave of pager and walkie-talkie explosions across Lebanon this week, APA reports citing The Telegraph.

Hassan Nasrallah said the “Israeli enemy has targeted many of the pagers” and “the enemy has actually crossed over all the red lines”.

Just minutes before the Hezbollah chief delivered his remarks, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it launched a fresh wave of strikes on military targets in southern Lebanon.

It was Nasrallah’s first statement since 37 people were killed across the attacks in Lebanon and parts of Syria on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thousands more were injured.

According to Nasrallah, the explosions “happened in hospitals, in pharmacies, hospitals, in markets, in shops, in houses, in cars…in streets where many civilians were along with women and children.”

“What can we call this kind of criminal action - is it a big operation? Is it genocide? Is it a massacre?” he added.

He also accused Israel of ignoring any guidance on avoiding strikes on civilians. “This is the scale of criminality,” Nasrallah said.

Hezbollah and Lebanon immediately blamed Israel for the blasts. Israel is yet to comment on claims it was behind the strikes.
