Former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu announced Wednesday that he is stepping away from party politics and ending the political activities of the Future Party (GP), arguing that Türkiye's political system has become incapable of reforming itself, APA reports citing Daily Sabah.
In a statement posted on social media, Davutoğlu said the decision followed consultations with the party's leadership and members.
"We have decided to withdraw from party politics and terminate the Future Party's political activities," he said.
