Negotiations will do no good for Palestinians: Larijani

Baku. Ziya Agazade â€“ APA. Sitting on the table to negotiate on the decades-old Palestine issue will bring no effective results for Palestinians, Iranian Parliament speaker Ali Larijani said on Tuesday, suggesting that resistance is the only solution.

Many proposals have been suggested and many conferences have been held on the issue but none of them helped resolve the crises facing Palestinians, Larijani said in an address to an international seminar entitled â€œGaza, Symbol of Resistanceâ€ held in Tehran on Tuesday, APA reports quoting â€œMehrnews.comâ€.

The U.S. blocked efforts to pass a binding resolution at the United Nations Security Council against Israel to stop the war on Gaza, the speaker explained.

There was no talk of human rights abuses during the Gaza war, he said, adding, â€œEven though the political system had changed in the U.S. and a new president has been elected with the motto of changeâ€ but nothing has changed.

The U.S. and its European allies provided weapons to Israel during the war, he noted.

The Israeli regime also made use of banned white phosphorous shells on people and destroyed hospitals, mosques, and civilian infrastructure.
