Vance says US likely to face shutdown

the US government will likely face a shutdown due to disagreements with Democrats, said US Vice President James Vance, APA reports.

"I think we're going to shut down the government. Because the Democrats are not going to make the right decision," Vance told reporters after US President Donald Trump held talks with opposition leaders at the White House.

It should be noted that on October 1, the US begins a new fiscal year without a budget. Federal agencies face the threat of an indefinite shutdown unless Congress can pass at least a temporary resolution to continue funding the government for the short term.

It should also be noted that the longest shutdown in US history lasted 35 days, and this shutdown occurred during Donald Trump's first presidency.
