Companies providing services in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, and ICT training and consulting in Azerbaijan will be able to register as technopark residents and benefit from relevant incentives, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) Farid Osmanov said at a media briefing dedicated to legislative amendments in the field of technology and innovation, APA-Economics reports.
"As you know, previously, only ICT companies engaged mainly in system integration and software development could register as technopark residents. Currently, the scope of these activities has been significantly expanded, and companies providing services in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and ICT training and consulting will now also be able to benefit from technopark incentives and register as technopark residents.
What is the general concept of a technopark? The registration process in a technopark is not tied to a specific physical location. ICT companies operating in other regions of our country will also be able to register in the technopark digitally and obtain resident status," he noted.
