Three tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz hit mines over the past 24 hours, APA reports, citing the naval forces of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to the statement, the vessels struck mines while passing through the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz.
It was noted that the tankers had switched off all their radar and navigation systems and ignored warnings from the IRGC Navy.
In its statement, the IRGC called on vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz to trust the US Central Command, while also warning that the southern part of the waterway was filled with mines.
