U.S. Vice President: Time has come for Russians to ‘wake up’ and accept reality

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance in an interview with Fox News said that Moscow has recently refused bilateral talks with Ukraine, as well as trilateral meetings involving U.S. President Donald Trump and other American officials, APA reports.

Vance noted that in recent weeks Moscow declined both bilateral negotiations with Ukraine and trilateral meetings with Trump and other U.S. representatives. “In recent weeks they refused bilateral talks with the Ukrainians, as well as trilateral meetings involving Trump and other U.S. officials,” he said.

He added that the United States will continue its efforts for peace and hopes that the Russians will finally “wake up” and accept reality.

It should be recalled that on September 25, President Donald Trump stated that it was time to end the war in Ukraine and once again called on Moscow. Expressing disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump said: “I think it’s time to stop.”

Following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Trump described Russia as a “paper tiger” and praised Ukraine’s strong resistance.
