The State Department has ordered some American diplomats and other government employees serving in Saudi Arabia to leave the kingdom. This was stated in a notice issued by the US State Department, APA reports.
According to the document, due to hostilities between the US and Iran, "the State Department has directed US government personnel performing non-emergency missions, as well as their family members, to leave Saudi Arabia due to security concerns." The document clarifies that US authorities had previously advised their citizens to reconsider any plans to visit Saudi Arabia due to the threat of Iranian missile and drone strikes.
