Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to meet with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham in Liverpool next week, as part of his visit to Europe, Carney's office announced Saturday, APA reports.
The Canadian prime minister will travel to Strasbourg, France, and Liverpool, UK, from September 15-17, where he will address the European Parliament and attend European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's address as well.
The visit will also mark Carney's first meeting with Burnham since he took over as British prime minister. The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral ties, particularly on defense and security, energy, artificial intelligence, and critical minerals.
