The shooter is down and the church is currently on fire, according to local authorities.
Police are urging the public to avoid the area as emergency response efforts continue.
Grand Blanc is a suburb of Flint, Michigan.
At least one person is confirmed dead following a shooting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Chief of Police William Renye said at a news conference Sunday.
A total of ten gunshot victims, including some who are in critical condition, have been transported to local hospitals, he added.
Authorities believe additional victims will be found once the scene has been secured.
