This is according to the report titled “The 2015 Country Report on drug control in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, prepared by the working group of the State Commission to Combat Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
2,118 people (1,331 at dispensaries, 787 prophylactically) unregistered and 2,017 drug addicts registered at the Republican Drug Treatment Center under the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan. Thus, the number of registered drug addicts in the country dropped by 101 people to 28,555 people.
There were 20,205 registered drug addicts in 2007, 22,394 in 2008, 23,927 in 2009, 25,489 in 2010, 26,716 in 2011, 27,910 in 2012, 28,376 in 2013 and 28,656 in 2014.
