Children born after the occupation of a district whose fathers have internally displaced person (IDP) status and whose both parents are permanently registered in the occupied district (city) will be granted internally displaced person status and an IDP identification card, except for parents who have obtained permanent registration in other cities and districts due to official duties or other circumstances stipulated by law, APA reports.
This is reflected in an amendment to the "Rules for Granting Internally Displaced Person Status and Issuing Identification Cards Confirming Such Status to Internally Displaced Persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan," introduced by a decision of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.
