The introduction of co-payments under compulsory health insurance in Azerbaijan will be postponed until January 1, 2030, APA reports.
This is reflected in a proposed amendment to the Law "On Medical Insurance."
Co-payments under compulsory health insurance were scheduled to be introduced on January 1, 2027.
It should be noted that under the existing law, insured persons are required to pay a co-payment when using medical services involving direct consultations with specialist doctors without first seeking primary healthcare services.
The implementation of this provision (co-payment) will be postponed for another three years, until January 1, 2030.
