Three passenger planes were forced to make emergency landings in Bulgaria today, APA reports, citing the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport.
According to the ministry, two of the planes, which were flying from Madrid to Copenhagen, had to land in Sofia. Another plane flying from London landed at Plovdiv Airport.
The emergency landings of all three aircraft were attributed to security concerns.
Note that earlier, a passenger plane flying from Dublin to Rome received a bomb threat and was forced to land at an airbase in France.
