Azerbaijan warns of sharp weather deterioration

Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has issued a warning against anticipated sharp weather deterioration in Azerbaijan.

The ministry’s press service told APA that the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will begin to deteriorate toward the night of January 7. On January 8-9, the temperature will drop by 10-15 C compared to the previous days. It will rain on January 8 and at night and in the morning on January 9. The north wind will intensify and snow-storm is expected on January 8.

On January 8, the temperature will drop by around 0 C during the daytime, -2 C toward the evening. On January 9, the temperature will be around 0 C during the daytime, and -1…-4 C on the night of January 9-10.

Weather will be frosty and snowy in the Azerbaijani regions from January 7 to January 10. It will intensify in the mountainous regions. West wind will blow in some regions. Roads will freeze up.

The weather in Absheron Peninsula will begin to deteriorate on January 8, temperature will fall 10…15 C. Cold weather and snow-storm may be unfavorable for some people.

It is not recommended to stay outdoors for a long time in such a weather condition. Cold weather is expected to continue on January 9-10, but fluctuation of meteorological factors, fresh oxygen rich air will be favorable for people.
