Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that the United States has suspended $16 billion in aid that was supposed to be allocated to Kyiv under previous agreements, APA reports.
He stated during an interview with TSN television channel that Ukraine must fight to receive the funds envisaged under previous agreements and decisions.
The President emphasized that Ukraine is grateful for the support provided by the United States, but will continue negotiations with Washington to secure the funds whose allocation has been suspended.
According to Zelenskyy, amid the redistribution of political forces in the United States, it is important to establish a proper dialogue with Washington and maintain the support of both Democrats and Republicans.
He stated that this could increase Ukraine's chances of receiving additional assistance.
