Men who were married to residents of non-occupied cities (districts) before the circumstances that caused internal displacement arose, but who did not deregister their passports from the occupied districts where they resided, and their children will be granted internally displaced person (IDP) status and identification cards confirming this status, APA reports.
This is reflected in an amendment to the "Rules for Granting Internally Displaced Person Status and Issuing Identification Cards Confirming Such Status to Internally Displaced Persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan," introduced by a decision of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.
Until now, IDP status and identification cards confirming this status have been granted to women who were married to residents of non-occupied cities (districts) before the circumstances that caused internal displacement arose, but who did not deregister their passports from the occupied districts where they resided, as well as to their children.
Under the amendment, IDP status and identification cards confirming this status will be granted to persons who were married to residents of non-occupied cities (districts) before the circumstances that caused internal displacement arose, but who did not deregister their passports from the occupied districts where they resided, as well as to their children.
