Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. As of March 1, 2016, the number of economically active population made 4,921,000 thousand in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
The State Statistical Committee says number of hired workers made 1,488,300, including workers in state sector 874,700, in no-state sector 613,600, in oil sector 34,300, in non-oil sector 1,454,000.
Number of official unemployed population made 30,600 as of March 1, 2016. 38.1% of them were women.
Average amount of allowance for unemployment stood at AZN 263.1.
