President Ilham Aliyev decreed on increasing social allowances

The allowances paid to the people, who have become disabled as a result of â€œgeneral diseaseâ€, â€œdisease during military serviceâ€, â€œwork injury and professional diseaseâ€, â€œChernobyl disasterâ€ have also been increased. The allowances have been set at AZN 50 for the disabled persons of the first group, AZN 35 for the disabled persons of the second group and AZN 30 for the disabled persons of the third group.

Monthly allowance for the disabled persons under 18 has been set at AZN 50 and allowance given for losing parent has been set at AZN 40.

The allowances for war veterans, who participated in the battles for Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity, persons, who were awarded for their selfless labor in home front in 1941-1945, the persons, who served in the Soviet Army (fleet), interior and state security agencies, but did not participate in the military operations in 1941-1945, the persons, who worked in the enterprises and organizations and were awarded medal for â€œDefense of Leningradâ€ during the siege of Leningrad in the World War II, the persons, who participated in the local wars and military conflicts in the territories of other countries and the persons, who participated as the specialists of USSR Armed Forces, State Security Committee and Interior Ministry have been set at AZN 25.

Allowances paid to the children of the persons on active military service have been set at AZN 40, to the children, who lost their parents at AZN 25 and low-income families with a child under one have been set at AZN 20.

The president has also increased lump-sum allowances.

Lump-sum allowances for the persons injured during radiation accident have been set at AZN 150, maternity allowances have been set at AZN 50 and allowances for funerals set at AZN 100.
