Nakhchivan – C. Gurbanoglu –APA. Chairman of the Supreme Majlis (parliament) of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov met with the students who gained higher marks at the acceptance tests. The meeting took place at the Youth Center in Nakhchivan City. Vasif Talibov informed about the construction of 29000-place 91 secondary schools over the past 12 years and fundamental repair works in 41 schools in Nakhchivan.
He said there were 222 secondary schools provided by 2290 computers totally in the autonomous republic now. More than 100 schools have an Internet access. Nakhchivan Encyclopedia and money rewards were presented to 219 students who gained 500-700 points at the acceptance tests for higher schools.
5571 students applied for higher schools this year in Nakhchivan. Emil Aliyev became the first student in Nakhchivan who gained 700 points in III specialty group.
