Balaken. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. 23,000ha area of Balaken forests has been included into Zagatala State Nature Reserve, director of Zagatala State Nature Reserve Haji Chakhiyev told APA’s Shaki-Zagatala bureau. He said it was connected with uniting of Zagatala State Nature Reserve with Georgia’s Lagodekhi reserve. Chakhiyev noted that the new map of the reserve was ready. The two states will soon officialize uniting of the reserves.
Zagatala State Nature Reserve was established in 1929. According to the recent agreement reached by Georgia and Azerbaijan, Zagatala State Nature Reserve will be united with Lagodekhi reserve. The reserves will be united and become a unique reserve. Both states will control the security of the reserve.
