US-published book introduces Azerbaijani dishes as Armenian

Baku. Laura Jabrayilli–APA. “Azerbaijani dishes are introduced in the US-published book as the examples of Armenian cuisine. The book about Armenian cuisine shows preparations of our national dishes and drinks. We should prepare a book showing that these dishes belong to Azerbaijani cuisine, translate and publish it in the United States”, said Tahir Amiraslanov, chairman of Traditional Nutrition Committee, APA reports. He said it was not only such publication. “There are a lot of books in the United States introducing Azerbaijani cuisine as Armenian. We need to publish new and perfect book against it. Our cooks have no such means and normal working conditions. They offered us to publish cookery books, to organize restaurants and also to live in the United States. The cookery is a form of culture and art, but we don’t give enough attention to this sphere. A draft bill on the “Implementation of protection regime in Azerbaijani cuisine” we submitted has not been reviewed yet”.
