Norwegian Refugee Council to present Lachin IDPs new flats

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) finished the construction of some flats designed for Azerbaijani internally displaced persons at Umid settlement of Garadagh district. NRC told APA according to trilateral agreement signed between NRC, Garadagh district’s executive power and Mishni community 52 flats have been constructed so far. Each flat is equipped with kitchen, water, public utilities and homestead land on the number of family members. NRC said the aim of the project is to provide IDPs with flats with good living conditions. The land was provided by Garadagh district’s executive power. The project was financed by Norway’s Foreign Ministry and Stataoil Absheron Oil Company. Electricity, water and sewerage system was constructed by Azerbaijani government and Statoil Absheron Oil Company.
The presentation of 52 flats will be held tomorrow. Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, Norwegian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yon Ramberg and Gurban Sadigov, Head of IDP & Refugee Department at the Cabinet of Ministers are expected to participate in the event. /APA/
