President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Arzu Aliyeva reviewed the works carried out in Khojavand city on February 25, APA reports.
The head of state and the First Lady were informed about the works carried out in the city.
It should be noted that Khojavand city was occupied by Armenians in 1992. The city was liberated from occupation in September 2023 as a result of the anti-terror operation carried out by our Armed Forces. In October 15 of the same year, President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev raised the State Flag in Khojavand city.
The territory of Khojavand district is 1.51 thousand square kilometers. Its population is 12,500 people. The district’s administrative unit includes 1 city, 2 settlements and 80 villages.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the individual houses put into use in Khojavand city after major renovation.
There are 980 individual houses in Khojavand, of which 133 are unfit for use and 847 are partially fit. Of the partially fit houses, 55 are already ready for use. Another 792 houses will be repaired during this year.
It should be recalled that a few days ago, 50 families – 194 people – returned to Khojavand city. Since September of last year to date, a total of 1,485 people – 355 families – have returned to 5 residential settlements of Khojavand: 50 families (194 people) to Khojavand city, 142 families (604 people) to Girmizi Bazar settlement, 85 families (360 people) to Sos village, 58 families (233 people) to Hadrut settlement, and 20 families (94 people) to Khojavand village.
