Azerbaijan has been a reliable supplier of crude oil to Europe for more than 27 years, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the ceremony of signing of Memorandum of Understanding for encouraging cooperation among Bulgartransgaz (Bulgaria), Transgaz (Romania), FGSZ (Hungary), EURSTREAM (Slovakia), and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Sofia (Bulgaria) on April 25, APA's correspondent assigned to Bulgaria reports.
"I would like to highlight the special role of the President of Bulgaria, Mr. Radev, in the initiative to create this strong team of partners. I am sure that the "Solidarity ring" will play an important role in the implementation of our joint plans. I would also like to inform you that natural gas is not the only energy product that Azerbaijan exports to Europe. We have been a reliable supplier of crude oil for over 27 years, and electricity is also a part of our exports,” noted the President.
