Russia’s nuclear response to a blockade of Kaliningrad is stipulated in regulatory documents, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russia’s regulatory documents stipulate that the official Moscow will respond with nuclear weapons if Kaliningrad is blockaded.
“We have heard numerous statements from Poland and other European countries that also touch on the issue of Kaliningrad, some of them quite outrageous statements. Therefore, it is entirely natural that our diplomats are trying to remind hotheads in Europe of our documents on this matter,” the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
It should be noted that over the past three days, the Russian embassies in Belgium, the United Kingdom and Ireland have repeatedly warned that Moscow is ready to use its entire arsenal, including nuclear weapons, if NATO blockades Kaliningrad.
