Azerbaijan will increase the number of countries to which it supplies gas from 6 to at least 10 countries, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the ceremony of signing of Memorandum of Understanding for encouraging cooperation among Bulgartransgaz (Bulgaria), Transgaz (Romania), FGSZ (Hungary), EURSTREAM (Slovakia), and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Sofia (Bulgaria) on April 25, APA reports.
According to the head of state, Azerbaijan exports natural gas to Georgia, Türkiye, Greece, Bulgaria, and Italy, and starting this year to Romania, and by the end of the year, Hungary and Slovakia may also join the ranks of gas-importing countries from Azerbaijan.
