President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, APA reports.
The congratulatory letter reads:
“My dear brother,
On the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I am pleased to congratulate you and your brotherly people on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan and to convey my best wishes.
We are very pleased that the relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, which are a good example of strong friendship and based on brotherhood, are expanding day by day and are enriched with new content. The high-level political dialogue between us is accompanied by our cooperation in the economic, energy, humanitarian and other fields.
I would like to specially note the effective joint activity of our countries in the fields of renewable energy and investment. The construction and recent commissioning of the 240 MW “Khizi-Absheron” Wind Power Plant by the “ACWA Power” company of your brotherly country is a vivid example of our close partnership.
I am sure that Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia will strengthen interstate relations and fully utilize the potential of our mutually beneficial cooperation at both the bilateral and multilateral levels. We will continue to make joint efforts to benefit from this.
