Regulations related to foreign currency transfers will be reviewed, APA reports.
This is reflected in the “Action Plan for 2026–2028 on accelerating digital development in the Republic of Azerbaijan,” approved by an order of President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the order, by December 2026, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the State Migration Service, jointly with the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank (recommended), the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and the State Customs Committee, must ensure the implementation of the “Digital Nomad Visa” and “Digital Talent Visa” programs through a unified platform, determine a “Special Tax Regime,” apply benefits related to social insurance and residency, and review regulations concerning foreign currency transfers.
