A special procedure will be established for the allocation of grants in the cultural sector, and grants will be provided not only to NGOs but also to other legal entities and individuals, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Law “On Culture” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the law, grant financing of projects in the field of culture will be carried out in accordance with the Law “On Grants” for the purpose of stimulating innovative activities and research aimed at the development and improvement of the quality of cultural services, as well as cultural and creative industries, developing the infrastructure of cultural institutions, and promoting awareness in the field of culture.
The procedure for holding competitions for grant financing of cultural projects will be determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
