Imports of works of art, collectors’ items, and antiques into the country are exempt from value-added tax (VAT), APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Tax Code, the implementation of which was enacted by a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the draft, based on a supporting document issued by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, the import of works of art, collectors’ items, and antiques — as determined by the body (institution) designated by the relevant executive authority according to the list of codes of the goods nomenclature of foreign economic activity — are exempt from VAT.
