On June 25, as part of a visit to the People's Republic of China, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Xinhua News Agency, MEDIA told APA.
During a meeting with the leadership of Xinhua, Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, emphasized that the signing of the Joint Statement and other documents on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries during President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to China in April has elevated bilateral relations to a new qualitative stage.
Fu Hua, President of Xinhua News Agency, reaffirmed Xinhua’s willingness to expand international information relations, emphasizing that closer media cooperation with Azerbaijan would be mutually beneficial. He noted that Azerbaijan-China relations, which are built on mutual friendship and trust, have stood the test of time and are built on a solid foundation. Fu Hua added that Xinhua and AZERTAC have successfully collaborated in numerous areas in recent years, supporting each other’s media projects and regularly exchanging news.
Highlighting the close ties between the agencies, Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, stressed that the agency places special importance on strengthening relations with Xinhua. He noted that the exchange of news and professional experience, participation in joint projects, and mutual support on international platforms all reflect strong cooperation between the two media organizations.
At the same time, the Chairman described the partnership in media as exemplary, and underscored the importance of reciprocal visits and joint events in further deepening this cooperation.
The meeting also featured a fruitful exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, and the sides discussed future steps to further strengthen bilateral ties.
