A bilateral meeting was held between Ahmad Ismailov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, and Asadjan Khojaev, Director General of the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, as part of the II Central Asia Media Forum on the topic "Central Asia in the Era of Global Challenges: Media as a Strategic Development Tool," held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, APA reports.
During the meeting, the importance of organizing conferences, practical sessions, and meetings of working groups for ensuring information exchange between the two countries and discussing mechanisms for mutual cooperation was emphasized.
The cooperation prospects in the field of media literacy, informing society, and creating a healthy information environment were revised.
In particular, a broad exchange of views took place on the issues arising from the "Roadmap for the Development of Media Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan," the upcoming II Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum planned to be held in Baku, and the organization of mutual visits by the heads of communication-related departments of both countries' state structures and journalists.
