Georgia. Nizami Mammadzadeh-APA. Two-day international conference commenced has in Tbilisi. APA local correspondent reports that Georgian Ombudsman Sozar Subari delivered a keynote speech at the two-day international conference entitled “Freedom of speech”. Azerbaijani Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova also attended the conference. Ombudsmen of a number of other countries participated at the event as well and shared their views on this subject. Georgian Ombudsman Sozar Subari spoke about the works carried out by the organization headed by him. According to him, there are problems in freedom of speech in Georgia. This is a ground of human rights protection. One cannot observe democracy or other rights in a country if there is no freedom of speech there. Subaru also stated that he would apologize to Russian Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin.
