Azer Mursaliyev: “Time will show whether “Kommersant” will be renewed or not”

Baku. Lachin Sultanova–APA. Azerbaijani journalist Azer Mursaliyev was appointed an editor-in-chief of Russian “Kommersant” newspaper. Mursaliyev told APA “Kommersant” publishing house issued not only the newspaper, but also four magazines. He will be responsible for the newspaper, but his predecessor Andrey Vasilyev will contribute to the development of magazines as an editor-in-chief. Mursaliyev did not say anything concrete about the renovations in the newspaper. “Time will show it”. Mursaliyev is a member of the All Russian Azerbaijani Congress and actively participates in the Diaspora’s work in Azerbaijan.
Azer Mursaliyev was born on July 6, 1957 in Baku and grew up in Kurdamir. He graduated from the Leningrad State University School of Journalism. He worked for “Vishka” newspaper in Baku in 1980s and was a special correspondent of “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. Later in 1980s he moved to Moscow and worked for “Komsomolskaya Pravda” and “Moskovskiye Novosti” newspapers. He worked as an assistant editor-in-chief in “Kommersant” newspaper until his last appointment.
