Azer Mursaliyev: â€œTime will show whether â€œKommersantâ€ will be renewed or notâ€

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Azerbaijani journalist Azer Mursaliyev was appointed an editor-in-chief of Russian â€œKommersantâ€ newspaper. Mursaliyev told APA â€œKommersantâ€ publishing house issued not only the newspaper, but also four magazines. He will be responsible for the newspaper, but his predecessor Andrey Vasilyev will contribute to the development of magazines as an editor-in-chief. Mursaliyev did not say anything concrete about the renovations in the newspaper. â€œTime will show itâ€. Mursaliyev is a member of the All Russian Azerbaijani Congress and actively participates in the Diasporaâ€™s work in Azerbaijan.
Azer Mursaliyev was born on July 6, 1957 in Baku and grew up in Kurdamir. He graduated from the Leningrad State University School of Journalism. He worked for â€œVishkaâ€ newspaper in Baku in 1980s and was a special correspondent of â€œKomsomolskaya Pravdaâ€. Later in 1980s he moved to Moscow and worked for â€œKomsomolskaya Pravdaâ€ and â€œMoskovskiye Novostiâ€ newspapers. He worked as an assistant editor-in-chief in â€œKommersantâ€ newspaper until his last appointment.
