Azerbaijani courts pass decision on reopening bank accounts of Yeni Musavat and Azadlig newspapers

Sources in law-enforcement bodies told APA that a number of government agencies and individuals appealed to courts and asked to stop payment of fines imposed on some media outlets basing on their lawsuits.The lawsuits of these government agencies and individuals against Yeni Musavat and Azadlig newspapers had been granted, the newspapers were fined and their bank accounts frozen.

Early in October these government agencies and individuals appealed to Yasamal and Binagadi district courts and asked to stop execution of court decisions and reopen their bank accounts. The courts considered the appeals and passed decision to reopen bank accounts. Distribution companies have also been informed about reopening of bank accounts.
