Lithuanian Foreign Ministry sponsors seminars for Azerbaijani journalists

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Chairman of Lithuanian Journalists Union Dynius Radzyavichius and Chief of the Executive Board of Heel and Knowton Communication Company Christinas Taukachikas provided seminar for Azerbaijanâ€™s media representatives. The seminar organized by the Lithuanian Embassy in Azerbaijan and Communication School and sponsored by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was dedicated to the mass mediaâ€™s role in the election campaign, APA reports. The Lithuanian journalists shared their views and experiences of media legislation and situation of the press in their country, mediaâ€™s role in the countryâ€™s processes, work done during the election campaign, financing of political parties and political campaigns and control over them, as well as political advertising, pre-election agitation, law violations during the campaign and other issues. The journalists received certificates at the end of the seminar. Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kiastutis Kudzmanas said such seminars would be provided regularly.
