Elnur Aslanov: â€œMedia has turned the world into a transparent systemâ€

Tamara Grigoryeva â€“ APA. â€œWe should form a common strategy to make our news agencies leaders,â€ Executive Director of Antara agency of Indonesia Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf said at the conference of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA). He underlined that cooperation among information agencies was very important.
â€œIt is very important to strengthen cooperation. Every agency, which the member of OANA, should contribute to this work,â€ he said.
President of European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), Director General of Austriaâ€™s APA agency Wolfgang Vyslozil noted that one of the main themes of the meeting was internet factor and speed of spreading information via Internet.
â€œThe issue of independence is very important in the 21st century, independence first of all means freedom of getting information,â€ he said.
Elnur Aslanov, Director of Department for Political Analysis and Information Provision of Presidentâ€™s Office, noted that the role of information was increasing in globalizing society.
â€œMedia has turned the world into a transparent system. Azerbaijan attaches great importance to freedom of speech. President Ilham Aliyev said the development of free media was one of the main factors for our state,â€ he said.
