Pardon Commission not to be appealed again in connection with imprisoned journalists

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Pardon Commission under President will not be appealed again in connection with the imprisoned journalists. Ayende Murselova, wife of editor-in-chief of Azadlig newspaper Ganimat Zahid told APA that they were not going to appeal for the editor-in-chiefâ€™s release. The family of Ganimat Zahidâ€™s brother Mirza Sakit, imprisoned correspondent of Azadflig newspaper, will not appeal either.
Father of Eynulla Fatullayev, founder and editor-in-chief of Gundalik Azerbayjan and Realniy Azerbayjan newspapers, told APA that they had once appealed for his pardoning, but in vain.
â€œBoth Eynulla and his mother had appealed for being pardoned. Thatâ€™s why we will not appeal again,â€ he said.

Emin Fatullayev said European Court of Human Rights would consider his sonâ€™s appeal in September-October.

Azerbaijani Press Council told APA that they would not appeal for the journalistsâ€™ release.
â€Little time has passed since the Press Council appealed last,â€ the council said.

Pardon Commission under President has started its meetings again.
