Azerbaijani media: “Russia Georgia war breaks out” – <font color=red>MONITORING  </font>

Baku. Laura Jabrayilli – APA. Azerbaijani media follows the tension between Georgia and Russia and military operations in South Ossetia. The country’s new agencies and TV channels mainly covered these developments yesterday and today. APA, Trend agencies, lent.az, day.az, ANSpress, 1news.az, bakililar.az portals covered the developments in Georgia on-line.

Today’s headlines in the great majority of Azerbaijan’s print media were “War breaks out between Georgia and Russia”.

“Ekspress” newspaper published headline “Georgia returns South Ossetia under its control” and comments of political scientists.

“War in Georgia!”. This is the headline of “Azadlig” newspaper. The newspaper also wrote about the views on the war.

Some leading newspapers of the country – “525 gezet”, “Yeni Musavat”, “Bizim yol”, “Sherg” and “Zerkalo” - had similar headlines: “Russia-Georgia war breaks out”.
The papers published views of the analysts, local political scientists and the agencies’ news related to the developments.

“Ekho” newspaper regarded the developments in Georgia as the beginning of new Caucasus war.
Khalg cebhesi newspaper published article about bombing of Marneuli, city of Georgia compactly-settled by Azerbaijanis. The newspaper’s headline was “Russian planes taking off from Armenia bombed Marneuli”.

“24 saat” newspaper was published with the headline “Georgia starts fighting for its Karabakh”.
