Azerbaijan Press Council organizes reception on 133rd anniversary of the National Press

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“APA. Azerbaijan Press Council organized reception on 133rd anniversary of the National Press on Monday, APA reports. Addressing the participants, chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov congratulated the countryâ€™s journalists on the occasion of their professional holiday. Amashov spoke about the history of the National Press founded by Hasan Bey Zardabiâ€™s â€œEkinchiâ€ newspaper. He said the journalists were willingly working for the press today despite all difficulties.
Chief of the Public Policy Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office Ali Hasanov spoke about the responsibility of journalism and said this was difficult, but honorable profession. He said Azerbaijani government always gave much attention to the development of press and cared about it and it would continue further.
The countryâ€™s well-known journalists, government officials and representatives of the diplomatic corpse attended the event.
