Outcomes of survey on socio-economic needs of journalists made public in Azerbaijan

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayli–APA. Survey on socio-economic needs of journalists in Azerbaijan carried out by International Eurasia Press Fund and Azerbaijan Press Council finished, IEPF told APA.
215 from 300 media representatives fulfilled a form correctly. Opinion of editors, executive secretaries, department chiefs, columnists, correspondents, as well as designers, collectors, clerks has been learned. 13.4% of respondents agreed to financial situation, but 37.6% not agreed to it. 34.4% of them are satisfied with it. Salary is changed between AZN 40 and AZN700. Average monthly salary is AZN181 of mass media representatives. One of the mains problems of media workers is flat. 76.2% of them are not satisfied with condition of their flats. 70.2% of respondents have not used credit operation by now. Respondents showed interesting facts. One of the journalists, who did not hide identity, writes that editor–in-chief misappropriated salary of workers. Journalist did not agree to salary, irrespective of increase of state budget.
