Azerbaijani and Turkish journalists to hold III Conference in Istanbul

Baku. Mahbube Gasimbeyli-APA. II Conference of Azerbaijani and Turkish journalists has finalized its work in Baku. The Press Council told APA, the journalists decided to hold their III Conference in Istanbul next year. They have accepted suggestion of Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilich to establish confederation of journalist organizations of Turkic-speaking countries. Proposals on the extension of operative information exchange, holding discussions, simplifying of obtaining information from the official bodies and well-known people have been welcomed at the conference.
II Conference of the Azerbaijani and Turkish journalists was organized on Tuesday in Baku by the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan, Turkish General Office of Press, Broadcasting and Information. More than 180 mass media organizations were represented at the conference. Media managers and well-known experts attended the conference. Chairman of Azerbaijan Council of Press Aflatun Amashov, Deputy Chief of Public Policy Department of the President’s Office Nazim Isayev, chief of the Turkish General Office of Press, Broadcasting and Information Salih Melek, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic addressed the conference participants. Then they have discussed various media issues.
