APA and Turkish News Agency-Cyprus sign protocol on cooperation

APA reports the protocol was signed by APA Director General Vusala Mahirgizi and Chairman of TAK Board of Directors Amir Erzoy. The protocol envisages the exchange of information, including photobank and video footage. Moreover, APA and TAK can give an order to each other for preparing information in various subjects. The protocol on cooperation also envisages an exchange of experience for improving the professional skills of journalists and organization of joint projects, conferences, seminars and forums. Head of Azerbaijan Representation of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Zeki Gazioglu also attended the signing ceremony.

It should be noted that Azeri-Press Agency (APA) LLC was founded in 2004, and is an independent, private information agency known in the international arena. The agency covers important developments all over the world, especially in Azerbaijan and South Caucasus, issues online news.
The agency has APA-News, APA-Economics, APA-Sport, APA-Photo departments. Along with daily news, the agency offers video footage, bank rankings, weekly and monthly analyses, forecasts and special photobank.

APA, which is known in the international arena and quoted by the leading media outlets of the world, is one of the biggest and most reliable media companies of the region. According to the international rating lists, APA is the most quoted and read information agency in Azerbaijan.

The Turkish News Agency-Cyprus or TAK (from "Türk Ajansi Kibris") is the main news agency in North Cyprus disseminating TRNC news internationally and disseminating foreign news in the TRNC.
Established in 1973, TAK is managed by an Administrative Council and is "devoted to the principles of righteousness and impartiality in its dissemination of news both externally and internally". The agency currently employs 33 people, including 16 journalists. TAK delivers news from the TRNC to the biggest international news agencies: Reuters, AP, AFP, IRNA; and receives news from Reuters.
Throughout the country TAK provides its services to the print media, BRT and other TV channels and radios, newspapers in Turkey, Anadolu News Agency (AA), Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), foreign agencies and the member branches of the TRNC Government.
In 1997 TAK introduced a BBS system which enables the customers and partners to obtain the news stories through their computers. The news articles in Turkish are published on the agency’s website.
