Public Television General Director Ismayil Omarov awarded with First Business Top-2008 Prize

Baku â€“ APA. International First Business Top-2008 prizes were presented on Friday. Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertogrul Gunay, business people, diplomats, intellectuals and artists from many countries attended the presentation ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey.

General Director of the Azerbaijan Public Television Ismayil Omarov was among the winners of First Business Top-2008 prize. He won the prize for his achievements in the establishing of the joint Turkic TV programs and his contribution to the Turkic world and Turkic culture.

The Public Television of Azerbaijan was called at the ceremony as a national television for its professionalism, broadcasting ethics and its spirit. â€œITV is broadcasting the problems, history and glorious events of the Turkic world from Altay to Anatolia, from the Caucasus to the Central Asia. Its programs are watched not only in Azerbaijan, but many countries of the worldâ€.

ITV-TRT AVAZ joint programs were also underlined at the ceremony as an important event.

TRT AVAZ coordinator Adnan Suer was awarded with special diploma.

Omarov is the First Business double winner.

Azerbaijani writer Elchin Efendiyev and Azerbaijani Consul General in Turkey Sayyad Aran also won the Top-2008 prize for their contribution to the Turkic world and Turkic culture.
