Mutual blames occur between ANS and National Television and Radio Council

Department chief of National Television and Radio Council: â€œIf Mirshahin Aghayev thinks there is nothing contrary to the national and spiritual values in this program, then he has problems with his views on national and spiritual valuesâ€

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. ANS Independent Broadcasting and Media Company took stance on National Television and Radio Councilâ€™s oral warning to ANS CM radio station for broadcasting programs violating the national and spiritual values. A letter sent by Mirshahin Agayev to APA says that the TV Company investigated this issue and held a special meeting in this regard.

Mirshahin Agayev says that the National Television and Radio Councilâ€™s information is groundless at all and that preconceived information is based on unknown calls from audiences.

It should be noted that examination, programming and analytical department of National Television and Radio Council issued an oral warning to ANS CM radio station. NTRC says that Young club program of ANS CM violated national, moral values, ethic norms several times. The radio station violated article 32.0.9 of the law on â€œTelevision and radioâ€ on protecting national and moral values and Special Rules of the NTRC on cases damaging physical, mental and moral upbringing of children and juveniles. Discussions on erotic and pornographic films were held in one of the programs. Basing on complaints, the recent programs of the radio station are being monitored. The facts are being specified, the facts are compared with recordings of the programs. After the facts are completely specified, the issue will be discussed at the meeting of NTRC.

Director of examination, programming and analytical department Tavakkul Dadashov told APA that the radio station had been warned for broadcasting programs contradicting national and moral values. According to him, If Mirshahin Aghayev thinks there is nothing contrary to the national and spiritual values in this program, then he has problems with his views on national and spiritual values.
