Press Council appeals to Azadlig newspaper concerning violation of professional principles

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Press Council appealed to the Azadlig newspaper concerning the violation of professional principles in the newspaperâ€™s May-June editions, the council told APA.
â€œEvery media outlet should take into consideration the unity of the freedom of activity and professional responsibility. These norms are not observed in a number of articles written in the rubric â€œRadicalâ€ of the newspaper by Sakit Zahidov (Mirza Sakit). They contain views insulting honor and dignity of public, political figures, famous persons, humiliating their social images. This is disrespect for ethic principles. The Council considers that the newspaperâ€™s leadership should take into consideration the inadmissibility of publishing articles sourcing from partiality and rage,â€ the council said in the appeal.

According to the appeal, the council had passed decisions and given opinions, made remarks concerning violation of professional principles in the Azadlig newspaper. The leadership of the newspaper is recommended to pay attention to the problem and prevent unpleasant cases.
