50th jubilee of Azerbaijan Journalistsâ€™ Union marked in Germany â€“ <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION </font>

Berlin. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. The 50th jubilee of Azerbaijan Journalistsâ€™ Union was marked in Berlin. Representatives of Bundestag, Federal Foreign Office, German Chancellery, Senate, outstanding public figures of Germany, leading media representatives, leadership of German Journalistsâ€™ Union, officers of Azerbaijani embassy in Germany and members of Diaspora participated in the event, APA reports. Member of Bundestag Eduard Lintner made a keynote speech at the event. he said Azerbaijani state always cared for media and gave an example of the newly-established Fund of State Support for the Development of Mass Media. He said joint constructive cooperation between the state and media was the proper and useful way to achieve freedom of media.

Wolfgang Dik, Head of Division of Bilateral Culture and Media Relations for Russia,
Central Asia and Caucasus of Federal Foreign Office, spoke about the interest in the South Caucasus. He noted that German state made efforts for the development of freedom of media in the region. He congratulated Azerbaijan Journalistsâ€™ Union on the 50th jubilee.

Chairman of Azerbaijan Journalistsâ€™ Union Elchin Shikhli spoke about the present state, achievements, difficulties, tasks of the organization and in general of Azerbaijani journalism. He expressed his gratitude to Nuride Ateshi, representative of Azerbaijan Journalistsâ€™ Union in Germany and Europe, director of Azerbaijan Culture Institute named after Nizami Gandjavi in Germany, for organizing the event.
â€œWe hope that we will manage to establish relations between German and European journalists and Azerbaijani journalists with the help of Nuride Ateshi,â€ he said.

Nuride Ateshi said she perceived the responsibility and would justify the confidence.

Following the official part, banquet was organized for the participants of the jubilee.
