Almaty hosts 8th Eurasian Media Forum

Almaty. Laman Aghayeva –APA. 8th Eurasian Media Forum takes place in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Representatives of more than 40 countries are attending the forum, which will be ended on April 25, APA reports. Head of the Strategic Research Center under the President of Azerbaijan Elkhan Nuriyev also joined the media forum. State Secretary of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev read out the letter of congratulation sent by President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the forum participants. Chairwoman of the Organizing Committee Dariga Nazarbayeva addressed the event and wished successes to the participants. The global economic crisis, objective problems of the modern journalism, South Ossetian conflict, coverage of the Gaza conflict, situation in Iraq and Afghanistan and other issues are discussed at the forum. Speaking at the discussions over the global economic crisis, Elkhan Nuriyev said economy of Azerbaijan was developing and concrete measures were taken for minimizing of the crisis impact on the country’s economy.
