Competition to be held on the theme â€œAzerbaijani woman and Establishment of Democratic Society: Realities and Prospectsâ€

Baku â€“ APA. Public Unions â€œLeader womenâ€ and â€œInstitute of Democratic Developmentâ€ will hold competition for journalists on the theme â€œAzerbaijani woman and Establishment of Democratic Society: Realities and Prospectsâ€. The press release sent to APA by the public unions mentions the roles of Azerbaijani woman in all periods of history.

The competition aims to discuss problems of women and their representation in the society, assess the real position of women and their role in the establishment of democratic society, systematize the problems of Azerbaijani woman in the society, determine concrete measures to strengthen the position of Azerbaijani women in the establishment of democratic society and increase socio-political role of women.

Journalists not older 35 can participate in the competition. The Organizing Committee will receive the applications by May 15, 2009. the results of the competition will be assessed by the jury composed of professional journalists and outstanding representatives of the society.

The results of the competition will be announced on June 30, the winners will be awarded on July 22.

The winner will be likely sent to one of foreign countries for exchanging experience.
